The Vision

for

Christ Unity Baptist Church

As Pastor of Christ Unity Baptist Church lead by the Holy Spirit the vision for this body of believers is:

To glorify God by obeying the great commandment (Matthew 22:36-40), And the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20)

The process to produce disciples of Jesus Christ which involves at least the following 4 categories.

1.) Worship (celebrating) To love God. (Matt.22:36-40)

2.) Ministry (caring) To love your neighbor. (Matt.22:36-40)

3.) Evangelism (cultivating) To make disciples. (Matt.28: 36-40)

4.) Discipleship (communication) to teach them. (Matt. 28:19-20)

Matthew 22:36-40

New King James Version (NKJV)

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 28:19-20

New King James Version (NKJV)

19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen

Mission Statement

Christ Unity Baptist Church is a body of Christian believers who believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour.

We express our love daily for one another, through praying, working, crying, laughing, playing, caring and sharing. Our church seeks to foster an atmosphere where ture believers can embrace the doctrine of the New Testament Church.

We seek spiritual maturity through Christian fellowship, worship and total family Bible-based education, the ministries and teaching our children Godly principles.

We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we reach out to share the Divine Commission with our community and the world.

Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe by body the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, and in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting; and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale of, and use of, destructive drugs or intoxicating drinks as a beverage; to shun pornography; to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember one another in prayer; to aid one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.

We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
